I guess leaves are pretty and not just meant for eating

Sandy is a woman! She just started her heat and has been acting quite differently over the past week plus. First she was scared of other dogs, now all she wants to do is find a mate! Thankfully she’s kept her innocence so no puppies for Sandy. We can now confidently schedule her surgery for early December to get spayed.

In other firsts, she overcame her fear of waves at the beach! She’s developed a love for spying on the neighborhood from the front door, as well as sitting on things that are meant for humans, and curling up in blankets.

Sandy continued to have fun on weekends the past month. First she had a sleepover with Robert and Carly and (begrudgingly) Zion. Then the following weekend Katie and Kyle visited from London and stayed a few nights. After that, she and Haley joined Addie and Sam camping up in Quechee State Park. We took a nice family walk through the woods at Steele Farm before watching Paxton’s T-Ball game. And finally, Haley brought her up to Mount Sunapee to hike and take in the alpine lakes and fall foliage.
